LOOK at this bag of eye candy
Monday, February 16th, 2009this weekend we had some time between heavy rains to get into some of the new burl wood and pieces to see what might be inside. The outside of most all the wood pieces are gray and stained from spending more than a year and a half to get to us. Not to mention 30 days transit aboard the ship in a 40 ft container and the nearly one month for customs to finally inspect the load. Allot of stuff happens inside a air tight container full of wood coming from the Amazon! But what went on inside the wood during all those months blew our minds!
Big Wood. Need a Mantle?
Friday, February 13th, 2009This is the coolest place!
Thursday, February 12th, 2009After all the months, and after telling everyone in about 30 days our wood will arrive, it has finally arrived….and it only took 18 x 30 days!!!! I have to say however, it IS worth the wait. Only a few folks have seen this outrageous wood yet, but, the overwhelming comment has been “this is AWESOME!”. Now that we have all these killer specimen pieces we can start working our way through the lot. Some will be resawn, other pieces will be left as they are because there is nothing that we can, or should, do to improve on them. A few of the pieces are so strange they will defy your imagination. It’s like a candy store for wood hounds! SWEET
