Forgotten Woods LLC source for reclaimed woods is land that has been legally designated by the Peruvian government to be cleared for mining or agriculture. The majority of the woods purchased by Forgotten Woods come from a community deep in the Amazon basin not far from the boarders of both Brazil and Bolivia.

Our company offers a large and diverse selection of rare exotic hardwood species for wood turners, woodworkers, carvers, artists, hobbyists, woodcrafters, and luthiers.

Forgotten Woods LLC is actively researching and re-discovering alternative musical instrument wood. As traditional tone woods have become more and more difficult to obtain, or in many cases, simply illegal to trade, it is ever more important to find new alternatives to fill the gap. Our new alternative woods are proving to be equal, or superior, in tonal quality and workability. The exciting part is these virtually unknown new luthiers woods are sustainable forest byproducts, which till now were only wasted, or considered useless forgotten wood species.
